Description of the intervention:

The building to be built in the Philippine Islands consists of a post & beam frame entirely in wood. The central pillars, made in pairs, are wedged to the foot, and provide the building’s sole protection against horizontal forces. The perimeter pillars, constrained like pendulums, perform the function of statically supporting the roof and the infill. This particular geometry presupposes a cover composed of a rigid diagram, in this case made by means of a multilayer wooden panel. The bifurcation of the central pillars, in addition to having a considerable aesthetic value, offers the possibility of optimizing the dimensions of the beams and the relative connections.
