Construction of a Catania stadium roof

Description of the intervention:

Study for the construction of the roof of the future football stadium in Catania. A large dome open in the center, formed by main and secondary curved wooden beams, braced by wooden pendular elements. The dimensions of the dome are very large, with a radius at the base of over 90 m, which involves stresses on the central ring at the limit of the possibilities of the materials. An ambitious project, studied in every part with interest and participation.
