Facade design of the Hotel Duca D’Aosta

Description of the intervention:

Structural design of the infill panels for the renovation of the Hotel Duca d’Aosta in Milan, located near the central station. During the renovation, which was decidedly sustainable and suited to green building, the architectural designers decided to create the hotel curtain walls using highly energy-efficient wooden panels. Our task was to design the structure of the panel in relation to the action of the wind and the earthquake, to study the connection detail and to engineer all the walls.
