Feasibility study of a pedestrian walkway for crossing Shamal Road (Doha)

Description of the intervention:

The intervention object of interest, in this case decidedly unique, concerns the study for a pedestrian walkway to be built to cross a busy communication artery: Shamal Road, Doha. It is a particular caisson bridge, closed by walls and a roof made by means of a wooden frame above the deck. In this case, the structural challenges to be overcome were represented by the bold light, the creation of the connection constraints between the wooden elements and the high operating temperatures. Last but not least, the study of the wind stress on the catwalk.
