Description of the intervention:
Construction of a structure for a restaurant, with steel pillars to constitute the earthquake-resistant system, while the flat roof is made by means of main and secondary wooden beams. The need to have large free spaces for the arrangement of the tables pushed the design towards the use of large curved wooden beams, able to guarantee lightness and, in this case, also a good resistance to fire. The great structural simplicity is aimed at optimizing the material, and nevertheless at allowing maximum distribution freedom, given the absence of wall bracing.
