L’Aquila seismic vulnerability study

Description of the intervention:

The intervention is aimed at studying the seismic vulnerability of an existing reinforced concrete building. The survey for the determination of the seismic risk index was conducted in order to assess the conditions of the existing structure in light of the current technical standards. These results therefore supported the economic analysis underlying the decision to demolish and rebuild the building, rather than renovating it. The analysis carried out is of a non-linear static type (pushover), which allows you to appreciate the dissipative properties and strength resources of reinforced concrete structures, as in the case in question.
